alter-close-smallCreated with the guidance and blessing of His Holiness the Fourteenth Dalai Lama of Tibet, the Gyuto Wheel of Dharma Monastery was established in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to share the wisdom teachings of Tibetan Buddhism while preserving Tibet's great monastic traditions and unique culture in exile. His Holiness bestowed the Monastery's mission and its name (Tibetan: Cho-Kor-Gon, or "Wheel of Dharma").

All are welcome at the Monastery's public events and weekly teachings.  Please view the calendar for specific event details.

We now also have a page on Google+

The Gyuto Wheel of Dharma Monastery has been renovated under the guidance of Ven. Abong Rinpoche & Ven. Gendun Kalsang-la after many years of property search in the Northeast area and Twin Cities.

As the renovation nears completion, the monks are requesting community financial support for the following monastery needs.

Donations are needed to help pay for:

Gold Buddha Statue for Main Altar

Offering bowls, butter lamps and ritual items for altar

Fire puja area and landscaping supplies

Shoe racks, cushions, carpets, etc.

Your donations of any size are tax deductible and will help make GWDM a center for enlightened dharma activity, a source of cultural education, preservation and service for the Tibetan community, and a resource for its many students and friends.

Donations may be sent to

GYUTO WHEEL OF DHARMA MONASTERY
2601 TAYLOR STREET NE, MINNEAPOLIS, MN 55418
