September Schedule

As a reminder, we are providing live streaming Saturday evening teachings on YouTube at Gyuto US . Streaming begins at 7:00 pm when teaching is scheduled.

Note that masks, social distancing and prudent COVID precautions are advised for all who attend events. The schedule for September is as follows. As always, an update will be provided if needed.

Prayers and Practice

Wednesdays, September 13, 20 and 27 at 7:00 pm – We will recite the Kyab Dro, Jor Cho or Medicine Buddha sadanas. All are welcome to attend and participate.

Wednesday September 13 – Jor Cho
Wednesday September 20 – Medicine Buddha
Wednesday September 27 – Kyab Dro

Saturday September 9 at 7:00 pm – We will recite the Lama Chopa, guru offering puja. Please feel free to bring an offering of food or flowers. All are welcome to participate.

Teaching

Saturdays, September 2, 16, and 30 at 7:00 pm – Geshe Lode will teach and provide commentary on the Siksa Samuccaya. A recent translation by Charles Goodman is available from Oxford Press, titled, “The Training Anthology of Santideva.” It can be found on line at various sources. Having a copy is helpful but not necessary to follow Geshe-la’s teaching.
Note that there will be no class on Saturday September 9.

Visiting monks from Sera-Mey Monastery will create a sand Mandala and practice of Medicine  Buddha from September 19 to 24.  

Everyone is welcome to attend and participate at Gyuto Wheel of Dharma Monastery from 10 am to 6 pm.
